Clear, fair rules for using Mantra

Last updated: May 2026

Welcome to Mantra.

Mantra exists to help people create meaningful songs for the people they love—songs shaped around real moments, real relationships, and real emotions.

By using mantramusic.in, creating an account, generating songs, or making a paid purchase, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Please read them carefully.

We believe legal pages should be understandable, not intimidating.

1. About Mantra

Mantra is an AI-powered personalised song generation platform designed for emotional gifting.

Users can create one-of-a-kind songs for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, festivals, farewells, and other meaningful moments.

Mantra is built for personal expression—not professional music production.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Mantra.

By using the platform, you confirm that:

  • You meet the minimum age requirement
  • The information you provide is accurate
  • You are legally allowed to use digital payment services where applicable

If you are using Mantra on behalf of someone else or as part of a business, you confirm you have the authority to do so.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

This includes:

  • Keeping login details secure
  • Preventing unauthorized access
  • Ensuring your account information stays updated

You are responsible for activity that happens through your account unless caused by our error.

4. Pricing

Mantra songs are paid creations.

Current pricing and what is included with each song are always shown clearly before you pay. There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges.

All payments are processed in INR (Indian Rupee). Prices shown on the platform are inclusive of applicable taxes (such as GST) unless otherwise stated.

Pricing may change over time, but any change applies only to new purchases—never retroactively.

5. Payments and Billing

Payments may be processed through trusted payment partners such as Razorpay and Cashfree.

By making a paid purchase, you agree that:

  • Billing information provided is accurate
  • Each purchase is a one-time charge for the song you create
  • Failed or incomplete payments may affect access to the song you tried to create

We do not store full card details.

6. Refunds

Because each song is a one-time purchase, there is nothing to cancel after payment.

If something feels off about a paid song, refund requests are handled according to our Happiness Promise page.

We review genuine concerns fairly and individually.

7. Song Ownership and Usage

Songs created using Mantra are made for your personal use and gifting purposes.

You retain the right to use, share, and enjoy songs created through your account.

However:

  • You may not claim ownership over Mantra’s platform, models, or generation systems
  • You may not resell the platform itself
  • You may not misuse generated content for fraud, impersonation, harassment, or illegal purposes

Songs are made for personal use and gifting. If you’d like to use a song commercially—for example, in advertising, monetised distribution, broadcast, or resale—please reach out to us. We’re happy to discuss a licence that works for both sides.

Mantra retains the right to protect the platform, its systems, and its brand.

8. Content You Provide

When creating songs, you provide names, stories, memories, and emotional context.

You are responsible for ensuring that content you submit:

  • Does not violate laws
  • Does not infringe on others’ rights
  • Is not hateful, obscene, abusive, or harmful
  • Is not used for harassment, exploitation, or impersonation

You also agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models, prompts, or training data from the platform
  • Scrape or harvest content or system responses through automated means
  • Use the Service to build a competing product

When creating a song about another person, please be respectful of their privacy, dignity, and likely reaction. The story may be yours, but the name and feelings often belong to someone who hasn’t signed up. We trust you to use that responsibly.

We may restrict access, remove content, or suspend accounts where misuse is identified.

9. License You Grant Us

You retain ownership of the personal information, stories, and memories you submit, and you retain the right to enjoy and share the songs you create.

To make song creation possible, you grant Mantra a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to:

  • Process the inputs you provide
  • Generate, store, and deliver your song
  • Maintain backups and improve service reliability
  • Provide customer support related to your songs

This licence exists only for the purpose of running the Service for you. It does not transfer ownership of your inputs or your songs to Mantra.

10. Platform Availability

We work to keep Mantra available, secure, and reliable.

However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times.

Temporary interruptions may happen due to:

  • maintenance
  • technical issues
  • upgrades
  • third-party service disruptions

We aim to resolve issues quickly and fairly.

11. Privacy

Your privacy matters deeply to us.

Songs are private by default and shared only when you choose to share them.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

By using Mantra, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

12. Limitation of Liability

Mantra is designed to create meaningful experiences, but we cannot guarantee emotional outcomes, personal interpretation, or third-party reactions to a generated song.

We are not responsible for:

  • personal disputes arising from how a song is received
  • indirect emotional expectations beyond the service itself
  • losses caused by misuse of the platform
  • third-party failures outside our reasonable control

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not provide warranties about uninterrupted operation, perfect accuracy, or that every song will match every personal expectation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mantra’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Mantra in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

We are also not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural events, outages, government action, network failures, or disruptions at third-party providers (force majeure).

Where required by law, our responsibilities remain as applicable.

13. Account Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or restrict access if:

  • these Terms are violated
  • payment abuse or fraud is detected
  • harmful misuse occurs
  • platform security is threatened

We do not do this lightly.

Our goal is protection, not punishment.

Upon termination of your account—by you or by us—your right to access the Service and any songs stored within it ends. Where reasonable, we will give you a window to download or export your songs before deletion. We may retain limited records (such as billing or compliance data) where the law requires.

14. Changes to These Terms

As Mantra grows, these Terms may evolve.

If important changes affect your rights or obligations, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you—typically by email or an in-app notice—at least 7 days before the change takes effect, where reasonably possible.

The latest version will always be available on this page.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Any disputes will be handled under applicable Indian law and jurisdiction.

16. Reporting Infringement

If you believe a song or other content created on Mantra uses your copyrighted work, name, image, voice, or likeness without permission, please write to us at support@mantramusic.in with:

  • A description of the work, name, or likeness involved
  • The URL or share link of the song in question
  • Your contact details and your relationship to the work or person
  • A statement, in good faith, that you are authorised to make the report

We aim to acknowledge such reports within 36 hours and act on them—by reviewing, restricting, or removing content where appropriate—within 15 days, in line with India’s Intermediary Rules, 2021.

We take reports seriously, and we do not need a court order to act on a clear, good-faith claim.
